A Shimmer of Angels Tour

I'm excited to be a part of A SHIMMER OF ANGELS Virtual Blog Tour

ABOUT A SHIMMER OF ANGELS:

Sixteen-year-old Rayna sees angels, and has the medication and weekly therapy sessions to prove it. Now, in remission, Rayna starts fresh at a new school, lands a new job, and desperately tries for normalcy. She ignores signs that she may be slipping into the world she has tried so hard to climb out of. But these days, it’s more than just hallucinations that keep Rayna up at night. Students are dying, and she may be the only one who can stop it. Can she keep her job, her sanity, and her friends from dying at the hands of angels she can't admit to seeing?

Author of THE IRON WITCH, Karen Mahoney, says, “A SHIMMER OF ANGELS has a courageous heroine who finds herself in the middle of two gorgeous angels, a fascinating world, and a story that builds to an exciting climax - I'll be looking forward to more from Lisa M. Basso!"

My YABC review: http://www.yabookscentral.com/yafiction/14664-a-shimmer-of-angels

Teaser:

I admit I loved Kade as I felt he stepped up to the plate more than once to help Ray out. I also tend to be a sucker for the anti-hero. I love when I see glimpses of vulnerabilities in an otherwise badass character. For example Kade is called, ‘Friday night soul-kabob,’ and we find ourselves wondering if that’s his real purpose or something else. This trait only makes me love that character even more!

Great voice, with an engaging protagonist who struggles with her own sanity issues which take a backseat to a string of unsolved murders in town. You can’t help but cheer Ray on as she tries to solve the mysteries without landing back in SS Crazy.

Teaser:

3. Which angel was your favorite to write and why? Cam or Kade.

- Cam is the strong, mostly silent type, which made it fun to chip away at him, but Kade was just an experience to spend writing time with. First, he's unpredictable, second his motives are always questionable, and third, he's fun, in the worst kind of way. When you never know what a character is going to say or do, it keeps everyone (the characters, the readers, and me) on their toes. Kade was that for me and I can't wait for everyone to meet the troublemaker.
