Friday Five

1. Yesterday went to local Barnes and Noble to pick up a copy of author friend PJ Hoover's book SOLSTICE:

Love this book! I was lucky enough to be a Beta reader for this book before it got picked up!

My YA Books Central review: http://www.yabookscentral.com/yafiction/10306-solstice

Teaser:

I loved this story! This is one page turning tale that has a little bit of everything-- romance, mystery, Greek mythology, all in a futuristic world. Everything from the world building to the characters hooked me from the very beginning. This unique dystopia mixes Greek mythology with characters that literally sizzle. The future world is bleak and global warming is no longer just a theory. Piper's character is sheltered so when Shayne shows up, of course she wants to find out more about him. The author does a great job of showing a futuristic world in it's hellish horror along with characters we care about. The bad boy Reese is also very hot. He oozes sexuality and hints of things that Piper had only dreamed of doing. There's other strange things that start happening like the mysterious girl Tanni's warnings of Piper's best friend's upcoming death and a tattoo that means sacrifice in Greek. Everything hints at a Greek connection. Only Piper is not sure how much the connection is linked to her.

2. Been running all over town getting things ready for son's upcoming week long scout trip next week. Very nervous for him! But I know he'll have a blast being away from us and being with his friends.

3. Going to a YA author's panel at local library tomorrow. It will be at the Rancho Santa Margarita Library from 1-3. Here's who will be speaking:

YA librarian Julie does a great job setting these events up. Here's photos of who attended the last one:

4. Love anthologies and this one is no exception:

Love Carrie Ryan's short zombie tale. Also Tessa Gratton's short is awesome too.

5.

Publisher says NO MORE GODDESSES should be available for sale next week!

And here's the cover reveal:

This means I'll be thinking of an Audrey Hepburnish way to celebrate and will have a giveaway to share with all of you too!

Here's the blurb of my third book:

When fifteen-year-old Jordan Lake discovers an ancient bracelet in her grandmother's house, she uncovers a family mystery that links her favorite actress, Audrey Hepburn, a romantic movie, and an aunt she never knew. Jordan hopes the bracelet will bring her love. Instead, it becomes a nightmare, unleashing the curse of Hathor, the Egyptian love goddess, who decides it's fun to mess with the McKnight High School social scene. Only Jordan holds the key to vanquish Hathor, but will she figure it out in time to save her school and get a date to the dance?

**Chose my Veronica Mars t-shirt!

I decided on the blinds one on the right hand side!

**Guilty pleasure:

Plan on seeing this with son:
